1. Prepare to remove salvageable components
   • Job requirements are determined from workplace instructions
   • Manufacturer specifications and workplace procedures for removing salvageable components are sourced and interpreted
   • Hazards associated with the work are identified and risks are managed
   • Tools and equipment are identified and checked for serviceability
   • Work is planned to identify removal processes, prevent damage to components, and use time efficiently
2. Remove, clean and prepare salvageable components for sale
   • Salvageable components are removed from vehicle according to established removal process, manufacturer specifications, workplace procedures, and safety and environmental requirements
   • Components are cleaned, labelled and prepared for sale according to workplace procedures
3. Complete work processes
   • Final inspection is made to ensure work meets workplace expectations and salvageable components are presented ready for sale
   • Work area is cleaned, waste and non-recyclable materials are disposed of, and recyclable material is collected and stored
   • Tools and equipment are checked, reported if faulty, and stored according to workplace procedures
   • Workplace documentation is processed according to workplace procedures
